Articular cartilage is a low-friction white connective tissue. The only cell type in articular are chondrocytes. They permit smooth articulation cartilage. have insufficient regenerative capacity. Response surface methodology very useful tool for the modelling of any processes using polynomials. This study investigated depth-dependent chondrocyte area from bovine Confocal microscope was utilized to image osteochondral explants. response used constitute predictive regression model guess confocal employed examine relationships among input variables and response. while inputs were perimeter depth. measured calculated demonstrated. significant (p=0.001) adequate prediction since R2 = 0.81. can be predicted with depth by methodology. implementation statistical experimental design techniques processing reduce runs save animals live.
